On May 5th, SHS held a ceremony to commemorate a national holiday for students. Mr/Ms Ze Hong opened the ceremony with a lengthy list of school, municipal and national awards. Afterwords, two student representatives were invited on stage to share their future hopes and dreams. They specifically focused on the idea of responsibility to themselves, to their families and to society as a whole; with impassioned oration that summed up the hopeful feelings of the day quite well. Principle Tang closed the event by urging all the students to aim even higher, telling them that they were still a way from truly actualizing their full potential. The ceremony may have been held to commemorate past and present, but it also provided a stirring message for the future
