On the afternoon of May 13th, the esteemed President of Fudan University Academy of sciences visited SHS and gave a speech on the future of Chinese education. Professor Yang talked at length on the issue of China's future. Specifically, he pointed out the need for students to learn how to lead. In 20 years, he said, China would need students like those of shanghai high school to step up and contribute in a positive, lasting manner. Professor Yang then proceeded to describe how Fudan university could help students build these skills and that he hoped to see them again soon. The seminar ended with Principle Tang urging the students to continue working hard and to take to heart the words of Professor Yang.
