The school actively promotes communication and cooperation with both domestic and international high schools. We have exchanged visits with nine sister schools, including Ordos No.1 High School, Shangrao High School, Lanzhou No.1 High School, The High School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University, Zunyi No.4 High School, Mile No.1 High School, Hong Kong St. Paul's Co-educational College, Mahidol Wittayanusorn School in Thailand and the Atlanta International School in the United States, thereby promoting the profound friendship between our school and these sister schools.

Every year, the school's Moral Education Office organizes the Social Investigation on National Conditions and Folk Customs activities during summer vacations and other regular communication activities, sending approximately 150 teachers and students to partner schools for exchange visits. During these visits, Shanghai High School teachers and students entered the classrooms, where they join students of our partner schools for academic studies. They also engaged in city tours and cultural experience events, and conducted relevant research projects.

Meanwhile, around 100 teachers and students from domestic and international sister schools paid visits to SHS and were invited to participate in large-scale events such as our Art Festival and Sports Week, fostering in-depth collaborations in domains like art, sports, and education.
