“City of Hope”, recognized worldwide as a leader in compassionate patient care, innovative medical science and translational research, is where Bill Chan from grade 10 spent his summer. He learned quite a lot about the research focused on neural stem cells in the adult brain. In his report, he believed that “Armed with this knowledge, researchers will be able to develop new, targeted therapies for a whole host of neurological disorders, including brain injuries, brain tumors, and neurodegenerative disease such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases."
