On Apr. 20^th, the inauguration of the Shanghai Institute of International Curriculum Research was held at Shanghai High School. Initiated by Principal Tang Shengchang and approved by the Shanghai Education Committee (SEC), the institute will function under the joint administration of Shanghai High School and the Education Research Office of SEC, with its secretariat at SHS.

The inauguration started with an opening speech by Yin Houqing, Vice Director of SEC. Many other municipal leaders attended the inauguration. Among them are: Yin Yicun, Vice Secretary of the Shanghai Committee of CPC, Wen Tiehui, Vice Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Xue Mingyang, CPC Secretary of the Education and Health Department of Shanghai and Director of SEC, Yin Houqing, Vice Director of SEC. Principals from other high schools which also provide International Programs were present as well. Later on, Mr. Xue Mingyang and two other Vice Secretaries issued certificates to the experts who will conduct research at the institute. Finally, Yin Yicui, Vice Secretary of the Shanghai Committee of CPC, inaugurated the Shanghai Institute of International Curriculum Research.
