On the afternoon of May 28th, 2014,the school year’s CPS awards ceremony was held in our school auditorium. The famous basketball star Yao Ming was a special guest of the conference. The arrival of Yao Ming evoked a standing ovation from the students. Before the beginning of the meeting, the school Principal, Feng Zhigang welcomed Yao and accompanied him to visit our school’s history museum. Yao was interviewed by the student media group. During the ceremony, the CPS students demonstrated many wonderful virtues such as innovation, practice, and service. At the end of the awards ceremony, Yao, as invited by CPS gold medalist of the four-school basketball leagues, told the students about the significance of teamwork and the spirit of sport, advocating service to the whole society. He encouraged students to join public services, which will bring more happiness to the people.
