On September 16, a number of professors from the University of Tsukuba Department of Life and Environmental Studies, conducted thorough academic communication with the students of SHS’ Engineering, Science and Technology classes. Principal Feng Zhigang, Party Secretary Wang Hui and Director of Teaching Affair Office Zhu Zhen gave them a warm reception, and expressed high expectations of this guidance and communication activity.

First, Professor Yang Yingnan, University of Tsukuba, introduced the students to an overview of the University of Tsukuba and the current situations of several SHS students who entered the university a few years ago. Next, five SHS sophomores gave powerpoint presentations and defense on their research topics to the professors. Then, five professors in related fields gave presentations and elaborated upon cutting-edge issues: students took a deep interest in this, raising many questions; the final group discussion brought the whole academic activity to a climax. After the event, the students said they had benefited greatly from the day's activities, and the professors also gave a very high evaluation of our students' scientific literacy and overall ability.
