On March 17, 11 delegates, 2 assistant directors, and 2 faculty advisors from SHSID embarked on a journey to participate in Harvard Model United Nations China for the sixth time. All SHSID delegates walked into their committee rooms with great confidence, extensive research, and meticulous preparation. They were able to lobby numerous delegates, deliver prevailing speeches, and produce superb draft resolutions/directives. There were definitely moments of frustration, but SHSID delegates overcame them with great strength and skills, holding up a battle against top high schools from Taipei, Pakistan, United States, and many other places. Their efforts yielded in great awards and accolades, including 3 best delegate, 3 outstanding delegates, 3 honorable mentions, and the Best Large Delegation award. The conference is a prodigious experience for all participating students, from as young as freshmen to graduating seniors. Many look forward to future conferences to come.
