At 16:00 on August 9th, the closing ceremony of the 21st China Western Mathematics Invitational in 2024 was held at the Grand Auditorium of Shanghai High School, Shanghai.
Professor Xiong Bin from East China Normal University, chairman of the organizing committee, delivered the opening speech, expressing his gratitude to the host, Shanghai High School, for thoughtful services and strong support for the event.
Professor Wu Jianping from Capital Normal University, vice chairman of the organizing committee, announced the team that won the first place. Together with Mr. Feng Zuming, Professor Wu presented the award to the Sichuan Province team.
Professor Xiong Bin then announced the names of the individual winners and presented awards to the students.
Vice chairman of the organizing committee, Principal Liu Shixiong from Zhongshan Huachen Experimental Secondary School, Principal Ma Yongwen from The High School Affiliated to Yunnan Normal University, host of next year’s event, and Principal Feng Zhigang from Shanghai High School, host of this year's event, participated in the ceremonial flag handover.
During this year's China Western Mathematics Invitational, teachers and students from all over the country gathered at the beautiful campus of Shanghai High School. They spent joyous times together, appreciating the beauty of the mathematical world and experiencing the charm of rigorous logic. With great enthusiasm, the students explored the fascinating world of mathematics, composing a harmonious symphony of youth and wisdom.
